PGN geoscience aims to be a leader in Australian and International geoscience, both in terms of its consulting service and people management. We run two businesses, (1) contracting and recruitment and (2) consulting services.

We invest in people, software and technology. We aim to build stable and long-term relationships with clients and be rewarded with increased project management responsibility and decision-making for our staff. The blend of academic and industry experience PGN cultivates will deliver a uniquely fresh and innovative service. We respect the role that science plays in our long-term success, so we will always encourage students and help where we can to establish industry – linked research projects.

Whilst we recognise that our contracting with a recruitment option policy will see many post graduates move on after short contracts into permanent jobs, some will elect to remain in PGN geoscience. For these people we will manage career development and on the job training second to none. A model we are currently trialling with selected clients is to give consultants a major client and project focus to engender project responsibility, ownership, stability and training. This is a win-win model for the client and the consultant.
